I love working with ink and pen. It’s like the ticking of the pen creates a state of nothingness. And from that state of being I grasp the essence of things.
The space between matter and energy. Captured in intricate and delicate pointillism. Sometimes more bold when using a brush.
Nature, ancient wells and places of cultural heritage are of great inspiration. Lichens and mosses, cup and ring marked rocks and standing stones being favourites.
In many of my works I research the land, the water, the history and the culture of a place and combine this with my ability to listen to the unseen which I then express in art or writings.
Naluka Art is based on the Isle of Luing, Scotland. My works are found in (private) exhibitions, online galleries and have a home in many private collections.
