I’ve been interested in jewellery for as long as I can remember – I used to make my own as a teenager out of Fimo, safety pins, buttons and anything else I could find and now am thrilled to have my home workshop to create in. I am inspired by the beauty and textures of nature, lichen, bark, cloud formations in the sky, rocks worn by the sea, patterns from rivulets of water in the sand and I especially have a love of pebbles, whether they are from the rivers I used to play in as a child or the beaches I now visit as an adult, I cannot leave without a shell or a pebble in my pocket which ends up in my inspiration pot.
My work is all about making bespoke, personalised and ‘one of a kind’ jewellery that you will treasure forever and that holds memories and meaning for you. I believe that jewellery is a piece of our personality and therefore should be individual to each of us. My designs are often very organic, I often like to allow them to develop at the bench and enjoy using different techniques to create ‘one of a kind’ pieces of jewellery. I use recycled silver and gold in my designs and it is important to me to resue as much waste within the workshop as possible. I use precious gemstones as well as semi-precious stones and beads to harness their healing properties into your jewellery and, for commissions, can personalise your pieces with words, dates or letters.
