Painting nature in the wild, plein air, is definitely my favorite way forward. I am primarily a water colourist, with the odd break out into pastel. I trained as a picture restorer in the late 60s, lots of painstaking details in oils. Since then I have had seasons of production and just as many when my brushes have been idle. A sudden illness in 2023 prompted me to get serious again, so here I am, loving every minute. If I have awoken some sort of connection in others with nature, then I would be extremely happy.
